First post EVER! Yahoo!! :D

It's official. I've been pulled into the blogging business. (if you would like to call it that) the time is now 12:35 AM, and this is my first post ever! woot woot!! :D

So how did it all start you may ask? It's quite the thrilling tale... ;)
About 3 hours ago, my family and i went out with my cousins to Chillis for dinner. Just to get together. It was lots of fun. We got to catch up on my sister's wedding that was just last Wednesday (which was so fun by the way) and we borrowed A LOT of their furniture to decorate for the wedding, so we returned it to them.

While driving home, i was flipping through the News Feed on my Facebook app on my phone (first thing you should know about me: i'm ADDICTED to facebook. it's really bad) I came over a post from a girl named Kami Reiser from my dance team. She had posted a link to her blog. I never knew she had a blog, so i decided to check it out.

I read the first post. LOVED it.
I read the second one. SO funny. it's so...her. :D
So i kept reading...
and reading...
and reading.
and reading...

I spent the whole 1 hour car ride home reading her blog until my phone died.

I love her to death. She's the funniest, most laid-back, go-with-the-flow type of girl, and yet she knows every life lesson you could imagine. She is a HUGE inpiration to me, and after reading her blog, i have a renewed respect for her. She knows her life lessons. She knows she's not perfect. But she doesn't care. She loves herself for who she is, and for that she is a beacon of light that attracts all of those around her, and inspires them to be like her.

GAH! i loved every post i read on her blog! I was so motivated, i decided to share my own story, for years to come. I've read so many other blogs. It's just so cool to read about someone elses life and experiences, and to be inspired by that person. I have life lessons in my head all the time. and i wish i had a chance to share them. Now, i know exactly how to do that.

And thus, my blog was born! :D

I've always wanted to keep a journal. When i was younger, i thought it was the coolest thing to do, and it made me feel unique, old-fashioned. I felt like the little girls in the movies from back in native american times or something. Historians knew about an entire culture that had no records, just from reading a girl's journal. I thought that if i could keep a journal, i would love to look back on it, and show it to my future grandkids. Unfortunately, because of my ADD, i kept forgetting to actually write in it every night. Especially because i would hide it in a super secret place, where i thought no one could find it. (Again, i felt like a little girl from a movie. Yep, i was born an actress :D) and i would forget that it was there. :D

So, 2 years later, i tried again. I found that journal from so long ago. It only had about 5 entries, but it actually recorded the worst year of my life. Sixth grade. Long story, but i went through A LOT of drama. :P When i found it, i was motivated again, so i started another journal.
That made it to about 3 entries. Then, because i'm a teenager, and i'm lazy, and i didn't want to stay up until 1 AM writing, i gave up.

And i really wish i hadn't.

This year especially, i fell like i've learned so much. In dance, at school, I fell like i've matured just a bit more. I swear, nowadays, i find a life lesson in something as simple as learning a dance move. It's kind of crazy, but i've always had a thing for "figuring things out" as i like to call it :D

So here it goes. The start of a new journal that i hopefully (hopefully) won't give up on. Well, now that school's almost over, i'll definitely have more time to actually post something. (plus, typing is MUCH easier than writing ;)) So, until next time! I have sooooo many ideas to blog about. i can't wait to get started!! :D

  1. I hated 6th grade too!! We should compare stories :) Brielle, I didn't know that you had started a blog but I think it's a fantabulous idea! I actually made a goal to start one after our wedding to document mine and Michael's life together and you have inspired me even more to start it! You are a great writer and a wonderful, honest, sincere person. I can't wait to hear more about your life and inspirations. I love you :)
